**Arrests Made in Shizuoka Related to Extortion of Adult Entertainment Information Magazine** In a recent incident in Shizuoka, several individuals linked to organized crime have been arrested for allegedly threatening and extorting the rights to publish an adult entertainment information magazine. The Shizuoka District Public Prosecutors Office has charged these individuals with coercion, leading to their arrest and subsequent referral for prosecution. They were released under a pending disposition. Among those arrested was the 70-year-old leader of the Shimizu family, affiliated with the Yamaguchi-gumi, a designated organized crime group. In total, ten men and women, including a 55-year-old male executive from another Yamaguchi-gumi affiliated group, were apprehended on similar charges. All of them have been subjected to non-prosecution decisions. The prosecutorial action was officially recorded on February 21. The eleven individuals are accused of conspiring between November and December of 2016 to threaten a male operator of a restaurant located in the prefecture. This extortion was aimed at seizing the rights to publish an adult entertainment information magazine, which serves as a financial source for organized crime activities. The Shizuoka Central Police Station was involved in the arrests, highlighting the ongoing efforts to combat organized crime in the region.
